Hi, are there any other “Fiesta Mayor” happening in Barcelona during August or September?? Thanks =)
Posted by Mayu | June 20, 2011, 4:47 pmDear Mayu,
First of all, thank you for showing the interest in our blog.
Answering your question – almost every neighborhood in Barcelona has its own Fiesta Mayor and we will be posting a calendar of all of them shortly on our blog.
Fiesta mayor of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera started on 18th of June and will last until 3rd of July. Camp d´en Grassot i Gràcia Nova´s Fiesta Mayor has also already started and will last until 3rd of July. In July Raval is celebrating its Fiesta Mayor from 14th till 17th.
Then, in August there is probably the most famous of all the fiestas – Fiesta de Gracia. It´s taking place in the 3rd week of August ( 15th-21st).
September is the month of the greatest Barcelona street Fiesta, La Mercé, this year taking place from 22nd- 25th.
Late September is reserved for Barceloneta, 28th-3rd of October.
We hope you will find this information useful and expect the full calendar of all of Barcelona´s Fiestas Mayores soon on our blog!
