  • Upon strolling along the beach you will find Carpe Diem Lounge Club, aka CDLC. This place is definitely pricey but the ambience is great. Reigning as a Top Nightlife on the water's edge, CDLC is modeled on Amsterdam's Supper-club. Daybeds heaped with silken cushions discreetly obscured by gauze drapes (usually occupied by members of the F.C. Barcelona football team) are the main attraction. The rest consists of a gaudy restaurant and sea-facing terrace, roaring techno on the dance floor, and a red velvet chill-out room. If you can get your name on the list among the C-list celebrities, count yourself lucky. The restaurant itself is very nice and appears very trendy. Make sure you book an outside table on the terrace- it’s quite dark inside and much quieter also. Recommend ordering the yellowtail Hamachi served with passion fruit sauce and land caviar. It is very tasty. You should also try the rocket and Iberico ham salad. The presentations of all the dishes are mouth-watering. It’s so flavorful and appealing that you’ll probably inhale all of our food. To complement the ambience even more, the waiters look like models. The waiters are also nice enough to recommend what to do and where to go at night! Find information on reservations, restaurant and more at http://www.cdlcbarcelona.com/. • Barcelona is exceptional to involving the entire family with fun and relaxing activities. Near our Vilamarí apartment there is Parc de Joan Miró. Joan Miró was a socialist visionary and expressed his opinion through surrealism an art style most popularized by Spain. His modernist style; a subconscious dreamlike perspective invoked a playful childish attitude. In his work reflects his interest in the subconscious, in it "childish" and in your country. Although the park is in tribute to Joan Miró it not necessary to be an expert in art history to enjoy the parc. In 1983, the Exiample District commissioned modernist artist, Joan Miró, who contributed to his hometown the monumental sculpture 'Dona i Ocell" (“Woman and Bird” in English) of this Barcelona artist. This was one of the first expressions of public art in the old city of the democratic era. The monumental sculpture is located in the Parc de Joan Miró (former Escorxador) in Barcelona, at the foot of a large artificial lake, the sculpture was made of concrete and 22 meters high, represents a female form with a hat and this image of a bird. A small fun fact, this large open park was once more commonly known as s "Parc de l'Escorxador" (Slaughter Park); due to functionality during the ages of bullfighting. Now the parc serves residents and vistors who may take a morning run in the park or have their children they will enjoy the creative space to play. • Gaudí began this breath-taking surreal temple in 1882 and it is still under construction. Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família (Expiatory Temple of the Holy Family) was originally intended to be a modest, Neo–Gothic church, but it has become the most famous building in Barcelona. Gaudí moved away from the reigning Neo–Gothic style of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and imbued every element of the Sagrada Família with symbolic meaning. The Christian symbolism is present in all the work of Gaudi, but the most obvious example of its application is in the temple, which escenogràficament, “scenographic”, presents the life of Jesus and the history of faith. This temple has been built as the original idea of Gaudí, which stages the Catholic Church architecture with Jesus and the faithful, represented by Mary, the apostles and saints. This is visible in the eighteen towers, symbolizing Jesus, the Virgin, the four evangelists and the twelve apostles; on three fronts, representing the human life of Jesus (from birth to death), and the interior, suggesting the heavenly Jerusalem, where a series of columns dedicated to Christian cities and continents, represents the apostles. In addition to Christian symbolism, there is also Chinese symbolism and inspiration throughout Sagrada familia. Turtles form the base of columns (the Chinese symbol of order within chaos) and the pillars are palm trees. The most outstanding feature of this building is its Baroque style, plus the mixture of colors and the diversity of materials used (plaster, ceramics, mosaic, iron and many types of stone). For more information about Sagrada Familia view their website at http://www.sagradafamilia.cat/. Also you can find a cheap ticket to tour the Sagrada familia at http://barcelona.ticketbar.eu/en/museums/sagrada-familia,-skip-the-line!-/. #
